Google Desktop comes out of beta

In the last few months, Windows users have been able to search their whole computer with a simplicity that was never possible before. One of the killing applications of the Internet, search took quite some time to become available on the desktop.

Google desktop has brought for Windows users the same simple interface of Google to the world of desktop search. And now, after a few months of beta test, Google desktop is leaving the beta and becoming a fully supported application.

As a treat for users of the program, Google is introducing a new feature: typing control-control will activate a search box that appears in the middle of the screen. It seems like a convenient addition to a product that is already very easy to use.
