Blogger: another way to contact your friends

The social website of Google, Orkut, is not as popular as facebook, but it has its nice tricks. The latest of them is the possibility of sending SMS messages directly to your friends in Orkut. This way, you can send messages to your community of friends even if you are out of the computer. You can also receive new messages anywhere, any time of the day or night.

Interestingly, as Orkut main's audience is in Brazil, insted of the US, the new service will be available with a brazillian mobile operator. It seems to be one of the first examples of an american web site that releases a service to a foreign country before even it is available in the US. Given, however, that around 70% of Orkut members are from Brazil, it is not difficult to understand why.
