Google is fighting spyware

Google is helping people to fight the growing number of spyware, adware, and all this type of badware that is proliferating in the Internet during the last years. Starting from now, they will be sponsoring a web site called stopbadware.org, which has the objective of collecting information about downloadable software and indicate the level of risk it poses to the system.

This iniciative is also supported by the Harvard’s Berkman Center and the Oxford Internet Institute. Google is joining Sun in the support for this project.
