New Google News site in Israel

Google keeps pushing the envelope of their News site. Now, beyond the several existing localized versions of Google News, Israel has also its own version. It is an impressive achievement to see that the service is now available in all major languages and countries.

Google news is also a new way of having access information in the Internet: using the algorithms implemented by Google engineers, the web site allow everyone to quickly see the development of a news story. It is similar to observing the blogosphere, with the only difference that the writers are professional journalists, payed to cover the story for their companies.

It is really interesting to see how the use of Internet technology is changing our habits. Not long in the future, reading newspapers will look so old-fashioned, that it will almost the same as getting no information...
