The Top 10 Universities according to Google

Universities are very competitive places, they like to be seen as good compared to others. Given the amount of money that anyone has to put into education, it is not a surprise that each university want to look better in the national rankings.

Google gives us a simple way to determine some of the best universities. You can simply use the search engine, and find what university has been more referenced in the web. If you type "university" in the Google search window, this is the ranking that will show up as a result:

2. Yale
3. Stanford
4. Cornell
5. Georgetown
6. University of Delaware
7. Princeton
8. University of Florida
9. University of Michigan

If you take into consideration that this was not the intended use of the Google search system, we get a somewhat consistent result. Harvard is consistently ranked as the top university. Most of the others are well recognized Ivy league schools.
