Google acquires wireless-software company

Google announced that it had acquired a Canadian company that produces wireless software, according to news.com. The move is expected to strength Google wireless area, now in the direction of supporting blackberry from Research in Motion.

According to news.com, Google is openning positions for programmers in the city of Waterloo, Canada, the location of the acquired company. If anybody doubted the resolution of Google in entering the wireless area, there must be no doubt now. After making a deal with Opera on wireless devices and releasing several new services for wireless systems, Google is on route to become the leader for software and services for mobile devices.
