Is Google Talk worth $5Billion?
According to Red Herring, a little company called RTI is suing Google for the supposed infringement of their patent on Internet telefony. And they want only the small sum of $5Billion ....
Those guys of RTI, however, are not new in this game. It seems that they have filled suits against at least half dozen other companies, with similar allegations. If they succeed in their claims, problably they will become the largest company on Internet telephony, with more than $10 Billion in cash!
I don't think this will go much further, however. Probably they are looking to get a good settlement with Google, so Google can distribute their Google talk program without any problem.
