Google's update on the neutrality statement

It has been recently noted that network companies, headed by Verizon, are making political pressure to the congress to pass a bill that will allow them to be paid by Internet content providers.

This idea has been dubbed double Internet taxation, since in this case both the customers and the content producers have to pay the Internet carriers - certainly a great deal for them.

Google is without any question against this: being one of the top service providers in the Internet, they don't want to pay. Moreover, they know that this will only increase the costs of Internet access for everyone, which is not good for Google. Thus, they released today a statement about the network neutrality issue.

It is good to know that once more Google is on the "good" side. At least the consumers will have a help on this issue.
